like tom's idea from an internal perspective. but i think there needs to be some level of prestige with getting the ball.

Al's idea about the autographed ball is also way cool that will put saatchi on the map externally.

so many ideas... only one ball.

I like the "world tour" idea, and the "guess where the ball is" thing - to add to that, we could make do a Where's Waldo? Treatment of having the ball somewhere in one of the offices lost in the shuffle, and you have to find it and then guess which office it's in. The shuffle can also play on the the ordered-chaos we go through on a day-to-day in the pursuit of excellent work - that great ideas emerge from a jumble of thoughts that eventually make sense in the form of something brilliant. The ball represents brilliance.

Hi all,

I don't want to influence votes but i have to say my PDF files missed the last slide which was supposed to explain my idea... It was containing this :

Idea : Saatchi & Saatchi interactive multi-spot contest (called RE(BALL)UTION_SPORT|2.0)

Explanation : Each local SSi choose a logo (present on the ball) and have to develop his sisomo communication around it

Main event : Each local SSi can choose its « sports weapon » to defy the united team of other SSi members when they come for our SSi WW meetings (Next time : Brésil or Argentina SSi team VS. Rest of the world are playing football – i guess)

Day to day event : All Saatchi & Saatchi people can vote for the "lovely" local SSi team communication and bet* for the next big match (via internet, sms or other "screened" device available)

At the end : the big winner is the local SSI team which have the best combine vote and score… and win plenty of Nike products

Added communication devices : best moments of the games and "troisième mi-temps" will be filmed just in case

*Bets can be a solution for SSi WW finances.

Many thanks !

The other idea i had....not dissimilar to Uwe's. What if the icons on the ball, were the navigation of a place on the web...not just a site but a place.. That the place only had a spinning ball, but each icon could deliver someone to a venue in the world that you could see hear feel touch and smell the wonders of that place, that is driven by the icon...pure SISOMO, be the first ot make smell or touch work. if you sign up and tell us about you and your amazing story of either SISOMO or Football, we send you that very icon as a platinum gift or a great treasure of that place. IF we keep it to Saatchi it becomes the global icon for our site, it becomes the navigation and the entry point for everything we do..the ball is a metaphor for how we are connected to each other through the icons, which take us from place to place, but the circle is totally emblematic of what we are all about, and we have our own icons, but we share the same surface. Our planet. SO we make te icons come to satnd for us, and we can see each other through th icons on the ball...

Hey guys here are two more....

Ok Lets use Kevins global clout. we get all the most key football/soccer players on the planet to sign it cause Kevin can make that happen. The we create a global auction on ebay with an entire offline and online camapign partnered with Nike, since Kevin knows Phil, to sell the Ball to teh highest bidder world wide. We then arrange to hand off the ball during a live telecast on YouTube/gizmodo/etc That we of course advertise all over the web via insider eastereggs...

The proceeds go to support soccer development in africa.
